Questions about Style Inspector
Is Style Inspector free?
Yes. Style Inspector is free to download and use. No account or subscription is required.
What can Style Inspector find on a webpage?
It collects detected colors, body and H1–H3 font details, button styles, and a link style. The results appear in four tabs: Colors, Typography, Components, and Export.
Does it detect every font and color on a site?
No. The extension reports up to 15 detected colors, body text and the first H1–H3 styles, up to five distinct button styles, and the first detected link style. It is a quick style overview, not a complete CSS audit.
What is included in the Markdown export?
The report includes the page title and URL, detected color values, typography settings, and button/link styles. You can also copy the collected styling data as JSON.
Will it work on every Chrome page?
It works on ordinary accessible webpages. Chrome blocks extensions from reading protected pages, including chrome:// pages and some Chrome Web Store pages.
Does Style Inspector send my page data to a server?
No. This version analyzes the active tab inside Chrome and contains no code to upload the extracted style information to a remote service.
